SCAP Shopping List

SCAP has brought you a new take on the shopping list application. Scan your items into your list as you run out of them, and scan them out of your list and into your shopping basket as you get to the store. With a world class barcode scanner, and a premium shopping list application, this is all you need to maintain your shopping lists.

The SCAP app also has more traditional data entry, you can search from the built in product base, or you can enter the product manually, and even add it to the product base. If you scan a product that is not in the base, you can enter the product name, price and other data to make sure that it is always recognised from your phone.
When shopping, you can choose between scanning the products out of your shopping list, or just checking them out by tapping the according symbol.

Getting started
Once you have downloaded the SCAP app, follow these simple steps to become a SCAPper! Discover the fun in our "scan in, scan out" principle, and bring the fun back into grocery shopping!
Upon opening the app, you will see a button called "Self Scan Shopping". That is SCAPs great killer app! However, it is very new, and most likely, we havent set up an agreement with your store yet. Keep following us, though, to be able to cut the queue and join the SCAP generation!

Create a shopping list
Once you enter the app, touch the shopping list button. In the shopping lists view, touch the plus sign. Name your list. Be creative. "Saturday shopping", "Camping", "Daily groceries", the choice is yours!

Add products
Start by adding a product "the old fashion way", as we call it in the shopping app business. Start by searching. Press the plus sign, and enter whatever you need in the search field. If the item you want shows up below, check it, and voila, it is in your list! If not, touch the "Create" button. From then on it will be there for you. Always.

Shop products
Since we are onto the "old fashion way" track, let us shop a product, just that way. While at the store, check the little box next to the product on your list. It has now entered your virtual shopping basket. (And hopefully the real one, too.) From the shopping list view, it appears to be checked, and even crossed out. That means you definitely bought it.

Use the scanner
Now for the cherry of the SCAP pie: Scanning! Notice the two buttons at the bottom. One looks like a list with a barcode above it. Use it to scan products onto your shopping list. Scan any product as you run out of it, and it goes onto your list.

Add new product
If you scan a product that is not recognised by SCAP, you are given the option of adding it. Please do, it is very easy. Select "OK". In the "Name" field that shows up, replace the div_barcode digits with a suitable product name. It is now in your system, and upon next scanning, it will appear on your list, just like that! The same procedure goes for shopping. We will come to that.

Shop the SCAP way
At the store, use the other scan button, the one with the shopping trolley and the barcode. By pressing this, you scan the products into your shopping basket. The virtual one, that is. If the product is not there, follow the same procedure as described earlier. You can easily buy a product that is not on your list already. It will then show up in your shopping basket, or on your list as a checked and crossed out product.
When you scan a product into the shopping basket, the same thing will happen as when you just check it. But this is more fun.
